Sunol Regional Wilderness sits in the oak-and-grass hills south of Pleasanton, where Alameda Creek drops through a boulder gorge the park calls Little Yosemite — water sliding over grey rock between sycamores and bay laurel. The hills above turn brilliant green after the winter rains and gold by May.
We've come back here across several years — the creek and its rocks, the sycamore flats, and the ridges above.
