Rubicon Peak with Katia

Rubicon Peak rises to 9,183 feet on the west shore of Lake Tahoe, a steep granite summit with a final rock scramble to the top and a huge view down over the whole lake. We climbed it the whole way from foot to top with Katia, before the kids — up through the forest from the base and out onto the granite for the last scramble to the summit.
