The 17-Mile Drive threads the Monterey Peninsula from Pacific Grove to Carmel, past the wind-sculpted Lone Cypress, cypress groves, and rocky coves where harbor seals haul out. Carmel Beach closes the loop — white sand and cold Pacific surf below the town.
The Lone Cypress is estimated to have stood on its rock at Pebble Beach for at least 250 years, and has served as the Pebble Beach Resorts logo since the resort's founding in 1919.
