Limantour Beach with Dante

Limantour Beach is a long, dune-backed strand on the sheltered side of Point Reyes. Its south end is one of the few seashore beaches open to dogs — miles of open sand and shallow surf for a good run.

Drakes Estero was designated the West Coast's only marine wilderness in 2012, the culmination of a long fight over an oyster farm's lease inside the protected estuary.
