Charles River — Charlestown to Cambridge with Teddy

A riverside walk along the Charles with Teddy — from Charlestown Wharf, through the red-brick streets and Revolutionary-era landmarks, then following the river the whole way upstream past the marinas and the Esplanade, under the bridges, and across to our hotel in Cambridge. The Boston skyline across the basin the entire way.

Charlestown Navy Yard, at the start of this walk, opened in 1800 and is still home to the USS Constitution — launched in 1797, "Old Ironsides" is the world's oldest commissioned warship still afloat.
